The delayed 2026/27 Brazilian coffee harvest, particularly for high-value Arabica beans, is tightening short-term global supply and fueling a sustained rally in Arabica coffee futures prices. By July 29, the overall harvest stood at 78% complete, trailing the five-year average of 85% for the period. The critical Arabica harvest is notably further behind, with only 69% of the crop collected, a significant lag compared to the 85% completion rate seen at the same time last year. This slower-than-expected pace has injected fresh concern into the soft commodities market, already dealing with historically low inventories.
