Jota Raises $30M Series A Led by Haun Ventures
Brazilian conversational banking startup Jota raises $30 million in a Series A round led by Haun Ventures, valuing the AI-driven fintech at $185 million.

Brazilian conversational banking startup Jota has raised $30 million (approximately R$ 150 million) in a Series A funding round led by Silicon Valley-based Haun Ventures. The investment values the AI-driven business-to-business (B2B) fintech at $185 million post-money. The transaction marks the first-ever investment in a Brazilian startup by Haun Ventures, the $2.5 billion investment firm founded by Katie Haun.
The funding round also drew participation from existing investors HOF Capital and Alter Global, alongside new investor Greyhound Capital. Founded by fintech veteran Davi Holanda, Jota operates a digital banking platform integrated directly into WhatsApp and its own proprietary application. The platform allows small-business owners to execute financial transactions, generate invoices, and manage business metrics using voice notes, text, and images.
Since its initial launch in early 2025, Jota has scaled rapidly to serve 300,000 active small-business clients. The fintech has processed R$ 3.5 billion in annualized transacted volume (TPV). Jota plans to use the new capital to transition its platform into "Jota 2.0," upgrading its AI assistant into a proactive agent that automatically categorizes expenses, anticipates cash flow needs, and delivers automated financial recommendations.
This venture capital influx comes amid broader digital asset and financial technology activity in the region. Locally, crypto markets remain active with Bitcoin (BTC/BRL) trading at 310,066 and Ethereum (ETH/BRL) priced at 8,249.68. The Series A funding will primarily support Jota's proprietary AI infrastructure as the company targets reaching nearly 1 million active users by the end of the year.
