The Next acceleration program, Brazil’s premier financial sector startup accelerator associated with the National Federation of Associations of Central Bank Servers (Fenasbac), has officially opened registrations for its ninth batch. Supported by blockchain enterprise giant Ripple and major Latin American cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin, the program is accepting applications until August 2, 2026. This latest cohort marks a strategic shift toward the convergence of artificial intelligence and decentralized finance (DeFi), signaling the next regulatory and technological frontier for Brazilian fintech.

A primary focus of Batch #9 is the development of autonomous AI agents capable of executing human-free financial transactions using blockchain technology. The initiative challenges developers to build platforms that seamlessly connect AI agents with digital wallets, enabling them to clear and settle transactions autonomously. This setup aims to deliver a "zero-friction" payment experience for end-users purchasing goods and services. Additionally, the program is seeking solutions for simplified, on-chain derivatives to abstract Web3 complexities for retail investors.

The accelerator is also targeting local payment rails by integrating Brazil’s highly successful instant payment system, Pix, with the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The goal is to streamline domestic retail crypto transactions through compliant, localized commercial channels. As these advanced financial frameworks take shape, the broader digital asset market continues to trade actively, with Bitcoin (BTC/BRL) priced at 328,586 and Ethereum (ETH/BRL) at 9,538.62.
