BTG Pactual Co-Leads $85M Series D in Colombia's Addi
BTG Pactual co-leads an $85 million Series D round for Colombia's Addi, marking the Brazilian investment bank's first growth equity bet outside Brazil.

Brazilian investment banking giant BTG Pactual has co-led an $85 million Series D equity funding round for Colombian fintech Addi. This transaction, co-led alongside global investment firm Citius, marks BTG Pactual’s first-ever growth equity investment outside of Brazil. The deal, executed through BTG Pactual’s Private Capital division, underscores the bank's aggressive expansion into broader Latin American financial infrastructure.
Addi, which operates an AI-first buy now, pay later (BNPL) and digital credit platform, has been profitable for two years. The Bogota-based company serves more than 3 million customers and 39,000 merchants. The new equity injection follows a major milestone in April 2026, when Addi secured a $150 million structured credit facility led by J.P. Morgan—the first warehouse financing structure arranged by the Wall Street bank in Colombia.
The deal highlights growing institutional confidence in Colombia's credit and AI-driven commerce markets. As part of the investment, Addi and BTG Pactual have agreed to collaborate on joint strategic initiatives in Colombia. This expansion comes amid steady activity in regional financial markets, where the Brazilian Real (BRL) remains a key benchmark. In local digital asset markets today, BTC/BRL is trading at 314,335 and ETH/BRL is at 8,439.96.
