Global financial infrastructure platform Atlas Inc. has officially launched Kosmos Capital Group (KCG), a technology-driven asset management firm focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and tokenization. In a major talent acquisition that signals a structural shift in how institutional capital is managed in Latin America, the firm has appointed Marcelo Nantes, the former Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Bradesco Asset Management and former equity head at ASA, as Chief CEO of the new venture.

The launch of KCG represents a strategic move to bypass traditional fund structures and optimize yields for institutional investors, family offices, and banks. The asset manager will leverage proprietary AI tools developed by Atlas Inc. to analyze assets and maximize risk-return ratios. KCG plans to focus its initial strategies on structured credit, project infrastructure, warehousing, and underwriting, utilizing both traditional and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs).

This institutional pivot toward tokenization comes at a time when traditional markets are navigating high-yield environments. The local benchmark index, the Ibovespa today (IBOV), closed at 173,714 points, while the Brazilian real forecast remains a key metric for foreign allocators as the USD BRL currency pair trades near 5.1276.

By integrating blockchain-based tokenization with advanced AI, KCG aims to significantly reduce the operational friction and long timelines typically associated with structuring private market assets. For global allocators looking to invest in Brazil, the migration of top-tier traditional finance executives like Nantes into the digital asset ecosystem highlights the growing maturity and institutional acceptance of tokenized financial products in the region.
