The race for Brazil’s presidency has tightened into a dead heat as voters rapidly take sides ahead of the October 2026 election. According to a national survey released by polling firm Quaest, the share of undecided voters in the spontaneous presidential poll fell sharply from 51% to 42% in just two weeks. This rapid polarization indicates that the electorate is consolidating its choices much earlier than in previous cycles, leaving little room for middle-ground candidates.
