A powerful cross-section of 98 prominent Brazilian business leaders, economists, and former government officials has delivered a manifesto to presidential candidates demanding an unwavering commitment to the ongoing implementation of the country's landmark tax reform. The group, which includes former Central Bank President Arminio Fraga, warned that any political rhetoric or action threatening to interrupt the reform’s transition would trigger “insecurity” for businesses, states, and municipalities across the country, turning a long-awaited economic victory into a source of destabilization.
