Presidential challenger Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) has unveiled an aggressive economic platform centered on a deep fiscal adjustment and a radical push for long-term legal stability for foreign investors ahead of Brazil’s October 2026 election. The plan, presented as the core of his campaign to unseat President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, proposes an estimated R$190 billion cut in federal spending, equivalent to 1.5% of Brazil's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), to be achieved primarily through expenditure cuts.
