Vale S.A. (VALE3), one of the largest companies on the Brazilian stock market, is set to report its second-quarter 2026 financial results today after the market closes, with investor attention focused squarely on how effectively the mining giant controlled operating costs. Analysts expect the company's Adjusted EBITDA to land in a narrow range between US$3.8 billion (Citi) and US$4.1 billion (BofA's upside estimate), a target that hinges more on cost evolution than on production volumes, which have already been disclosed as strong. On the B3, Vale's ordinary shares, VALE3, traded down 0.85% to R$75.05 in afternoon trading, contributing to the broader IBOV decline of 1.52%, as the market cautiously awaits the report.
