Large commodity speculators, often referred to as "Non-commercial" traders, have amassed a huge net-long position in soybean futures, signaling an expectation that global prices for the key commodity will rise despite a record crop from **Brazil agriculture**, the world’s largest exporter. According to the latest data from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), major funds and managed money held 216,046 long contracts compared to just 38,183 short contracts, creating a substantial net-long position of 177,863 futures contracts out of a total open interest of 649,027.
