ISA Energia Brasil SA (ISAE4) priced its primary follow-on offering of preferred shares at R$27.00 per share, representing a 5.3% discount to its previous closing price. Due to robust institutional demand, the Brazilian power transmission utility doubled the size of the transaction to 44.4 million preferred shares to absorb the excess order book, ultimately raising R$1.199 billion.

The newly issued shares are scheduled to begin trading on the B3 exchange on Monday, July 27, 2026, with physical and financial settlement expected on July 28. ISA Energia plans to use the proceeds to fund strategic expansion projects, including an asset transaction with AXIA Energia and accelerated capital expenditures ahead of upcoming regulatory tariff reviews.

This successful capital raise comes amid broader volatility in the Brazil stock market today. The benchmark Ibovespa today (IBOV) fell 1.00% to close at 174,962.44. Major B3 stocks also closed lower, with state-run oil firm Petrobras (PETR4) dropping 1.21% to R$42.43, mining giant Vale (VALE3) slipping 0.42% to R$75.36, and financial heavyweight Itaú Unibanco (ITUB4) declining 0.68% to R$42.27. Despite the market-wide retreat, the strong appetite for ISA Energia's offering highlights resilient investor interest in Brazil's defensive utility sector.
