Argentina’s fastest-growing digital brokerage, Cocos Capital, has agreed to acquire the majority of Warren Investimentos' assets, marking its official entry into the Brazilian wealth management market. The transaction includes Warren’s asset management arm, its capital markets vertical, and the Renascença institutional brokerage. Funded entirely with Cocos' equity, the deal transforms Warren’s major venture capital backers—including Kaszek Ventures, Citi Ventures, and GIC—into shareholders of Cocos Capital.

The strategic move signals a new wave of consolidation and low-ticket retail competition in Brazil’s wealth management space. By focusing on underserved retail investors with assets under $100,000, Cocos Capital seeks to challenge dominant local incumbents like XP Inc. (XPBR31) and BTG Pactual (BPAC11). The Buenos Aires-based fintech, which already boasts over 2 million clients in Argentina, aims to leverage its lean, technology-driven operating model to scale efficiently in Brazil.

With this acquisition, Cocos Capital projects its combined operations will surpass $100 million in annual revenue and reach $4 billion in assets under management (AUM) by the end of 2026. The expansion comes amid steady activity in Brazilian financial markets. As of today, the benchmark B3 index (IBOV) traded up 0.51% at 176,641.10 points, supported by gains in Vale (VALE3) at 74.01 (+1.59%) and Itaú Unibanco (ITUB4) at 43.63 (+0.25%), while Petrobras (PETR4) remained flat at 40.66.
