The Brazilian government has scheduled the auction for the new concession of Brasília International Airport for December 17, as it continues to push for the privatization of key infrastructure assets. The new operator will be mandated to inject approximately R$ 1.2 billion in new investments into the capital's airport, which ranks as the third busiest in the country, and will be responsible for a package that includes the management of 10 regional airports across the Central-West, Paraná, and Bahia states. The concession agreement is set to run until 2037.
